"The Transformation" shirt design

This is a one is a digital collage made out of images culled from various old Life magazines. The primary image of the girl enchanted with the light bulb was taken from an article documenting early LSD experiments.

The shirts are for sale at Duder Manor.

Live Forever

"Live Forever" is a kaleidoscopic image constructed digitally using photographs I've taken of the Dudleya Farinosa that grows at Salt Point. Succulents are some of my favorite plants, and this one is my favorite succulent.

I have a lot of digital work that doesn't end up on this blog for whatever reason. Anyways, that ends now, a lot more of this stuff is going to start showing up here from now on.

I've been working on this drawing on and off for over a year. Now that's it's finally finished I've decided that I want to add a background and a bunch of other crap, so perhaps in another year it will truly be done. The original idea of this drawing was inspired by a level in Golden Axe where you do battle in a village on the back of a giant sea turtle. This guy here is more of a snapper, so when I finally get around to doing the rest he will be traversing a more swamp like environment. I've got some other plans in store for it as well, but you will have to wait until it's complete to see them.

Just finished some new prints of this illustration recently. This is a project I'd been meaning to get done for a really long time now and I finally got around to doing it. Originally this illustration was done for the Unkut Hunks record, but since that ended up not getting released I wanted to do some prints of it myself. In case you were wondering, it is a cyclops wizard riding a metal seahorse through an eyeball vortex.

I'm really happy with how these came out overall. The colors on the background are blended manually, so every print will be slightly different. It also glows in the dark! I also printed a layer of metallic pearl ink on the seahorse and the hilt of the sword. It's not really visible on this scan but from certain angles a subtle metallic sparkle is visible.

I only made 15 of these guys, I'll be putting them up in the webstore soon.

A new shirt design for the Sacramento Bike Kitchen

This design is for their Hunt the Grid event, a bike scavenger hunt. I've been doing a lot of hand drawn stuff lately, but with this one I really enjoyed doing some digital illustration again.

A new poster design for the Sac Bike Kitchen

Since this is a "hunt" I thought that a wall mounted hunting trophy would be a fun image for this poster. In this case, it's a bike, with the handlebars acting as antlers. A screen print of this is on the way. Additionally, Rita and I will be setting up a Duder Manor shop at the event, selling shirts, prints, and other stuff.

unless / letting go of what you never had
7" record cover

This is the packaging for the final Unless recordings. This was a band that I "sang" in. I'm really proud of this record, and it is a shame that the band ended so soon after it was released. Anyway, I'm quite pleased with how the packaging came out. I hand printed all 300 of them, and it was exhausting.

Here is a scan of some posters I just printed up.

The white ink that I used to mix this mint green was super crusty and lumpy, making the first color a chore to print. They came out great though, I think this may be my favorite of the posters that I've done so far.

The Observer

I'm going to South America in a few days, and I'm really glad I was able to get this done before my trip. I don't want to have this guy lurking in the back of my mind while I'm trying to relax. Anyway, I'm really pumped on how this came out. If I end up screen printing I will probably have to reduce the number of colors, but the internet is a realm of infinite possibilities and colors, so for now it will remain like this.

A new illustration I am really psyched on.
A full color version is on the way soon.
